The Color Purple

Working on The Color Purple at the Aurora Theatre was an absolute pleasure! As Co-Draper alongside Sydni Stephenson, my main projects for the show were Celie's (played by Amitria Fanae) blue and purple finale suit, the Gossips' dresses, and about half of the ensemble's pants in the Miss Celie's Pants store scene.

 

With costumes by Costume Designer Dr. L. Nyrobi N. Moss and Assistant Designer Jared Barnes, the show's colorful palette and assortment of interesting textiles was a field day to explore.
